Sunday the 29th November 2020 is the first Sunday in Advent in the Christian calendar.

Advent is the start of the Christian year, four Sundays before Christmas. It is often celebrated by lighting the first candle in the advent crown – a circular wreath of greenery. A further three candles are lit on each of the Sundays leading up to Christmas with a Christmas candle lit on the 25th December, which is Christmas Day.
