Maths

There are so many ways to incorporate maths into every day activities.  One of our favourites is baking which a great (and tasty) way to practise measurement and time! Keep checking this page as we will be adding activities that you can do at home to support development of maths while also having fun! 

Take photos of anything you have a go at and add them to the website - we would love to see what you are getting up to! 

I See Maths - There are some fantastic reasoning and problem solving activities on the I See Maths website for KS2. Each activity comes with a video and then a challenge to haev a go at. For KS1 there are some great games to enjoy which will help develop number and thinking skills!

Walking Maths - Keep your brain busy while you enjoy your daily exercise with these suggestions for using what you see around you to play some maths games. You might come up with your own ideas - let us know and we will give them a go!  

Playing Card Maths - Have a go at these fab activites. There are challenges for all ages and all you need is a pack of cards! Have fun!

Cooking with Maths - there are some delicious suggestions in this file. If you have a go at these let us know how they taste - I really like the look of the edible dominoes! 

Arty Maths - Get creative with these arty takes on maths activities and send us your photos! 

Garden Maths - Download the file (link below) and have a go at these activites and games in your gardens or come up with your own game and let us know how to play! 

Lego Maths - There are lots of suggestions in this file (link below) for how to use lego to support development of maths. Have a go and let us know how you get on.
