Coronavirus Update

CORONAVIRUS - information regarding the spread of coronavirus, and its impact on our school

Charles Darwin Community Primary School remains open as usual

As advised by the government, school will continue to operate so long as we have enough staff to do so safely. Children should attend unless they present the main symptoms.

Parents are advised to read the government's guidance on staying at home in the case of suspected coronavirus infection. This is based on the most significant symptoms of:

• new continuous cough, and/or
• high temperature (37.8°C)

If children, or anyone in your household develop either of these symptoms, they should be kept at home for a period of 14 days from the onset of the symptoms. See stay at home guidance below:

In light of the latest guidance about social distancing we have made regrettable decisions to cancel the following:

·         All swimming until further notice

·         All class assemblies until further notice

·         The Y4 parents’ Times Tables meeting on 24^th March

·         123 Magic course on 25^th March and 1^st April

·         Parents’ evenings 30^th and 31^st March

·         Easter Bonnet Parade / Easter Craft morning on 2^nd April

·         Easter Bingo on 2^nd April

We plan to continue with school clubs as normal for as long as we possibly can. 

It will not be possible, at this moment, for teachers to provide work for pupils being isolated at home, however our aim is to provide these resources in the near future. In the meantime, you are encouraged to make use of available resources such as TTRockstars .

If your child does not know their login information, these can be provided by school. To help us manage this, please email admin@charlesdarwin.cheshire.sch.uk.

In school, we will continue to encourage regular handwashing, and the use of tissues to 'Catch It, Bin It, Kill It".
