We have been extremely busy in Darwin’s Den this month.
The children started the month with arts and crafts making Father’s Day cards. I hope you all received them? I have to say the children’s cards were much better than mine and Mrs Killilea’s examples.
We had mixed weather this month starting off with lots and lots of rain, but that didn’t stop the children from practicing their bat and ball, hula-hoop or skipping skills as we were able to use the school’s hall. When the sun shine finally came Lucy (work experience student) held a hula hoop competition outside for everyone.
We also completed another “wild challenge” where the children needed to sense the world around them. They did this by lying down and using their senses (apart from taste). I have to say it was the quietest Darwin’s Den has ever been!
