February
Even though February is a short month and included a half term holiday, the children have still been very busy!
We started the month off by celebrating Chinese New Year, the year of the pig. We had colouring sheets of all the 12 animals of the Chinese calendar and learnt the story. We made lucky coins, practiced our Chinese writing and made paper fortune cookies.
On the 5th of February for tea we had Chinese cuisine, which consisted of vegetable spring rolls, egg fried rice, prawn crackers and sweet chili sauce followed by lychees and ice cream. The staff were really proud of all the children for joining in and tasting new foods.
We also celebrated Valentine’s Day in the Den this month, we made cards to give to our loved ones and potential new love ones.
We have been lucky enough to get outside and play this month with the evenings becoming lighter and the good weather. Fingers crossed it continues!
